On behalf of our private client, we are looking for a domestic couple to work in their second residence in Edgeworth. This is an immaculate and luxury new home; the candidates must be hard working, organised, have very high standards, reliable with a pleasant – sunny disposition.
The position requires a flexible couple who can demonstrate self-sufficiency and autonomy. The client will visit the house 2-3 months of the year, no animals or pets in the estate.
Main duties and responsibilities
Housekeeper Duties
The housekeeper will be able to provision and manage the household and undertake the day-to-day housekeeping duties. These duties will include managing subcontract cleaners and carrying out the general deep cleaning and dressing of the house to 5* standards, polishing furniture, doing all the laundry including bedlinen.
Dressing the house ready for the arrival of the family is essential.
You will also provide simple healthy nutritious meals when required and assist when the rest of the family and friends visits on occasion.
Maintenance and handyman Duties
Partner to care for some of the light day-to-day maintenance and managing the estate. Cleaning of cars/bikes and be able to undertake any maintenance duties around the property. You will need to deal with any indoor maintenance as required.
Chauffeur runs for the family.
Between you, you will also deal with security, deep cleaning, manage external contractors, gardeners, deal with suppliers etc
Profile requirement:
- Previous experience working in a domestic environment with good references.
- Take pride in their work.
- Clean driving licence.
- Flexible / Hard working / Hands-on.
- Self-sufficiency and autonomy.
- Happy to step into any roles in the household and help as needed.
Accommodation: lovely separate two bedrooms cottage.
Working days and hours: 5 days a week to include weekends when the family is in residence. Approximately 8 hours a day, with flexibility.

Salary: £75,000 gross per year depending on experince
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
