Live-out Senior Housekeeper in London

Our private clients are seeking an experienced Live-out Housekeeper for their high-end London residence. The role will be primarily based in London, with occasional travel to the family’s Virginia Water estate during busier periods, where additional support may be required. The London portfolio comprises two private flats, and the successful candidate will take responsibility for maintaining both residences to an exceptional standard, working collaboratively alongside another Housekeeper who is based within one of the flats. The household is supported by a House Manager and Estate Manager (based at the Virginia Water property), ensuring a well-structured and professional working environment.

Schedule - 40 hours per week, on a rota basis (Monday–Sunday) - Shifts will typically be arranged in line with the needs of the family! Flexibility is essential, as working hours may be adjusted depending on the family’s schedule

The Role

You will be based in London, overseeing the daily upkeep, presentation, and smooth running of two high-end private residences. This role requires someone who is confident working both independently and as part of a small team, ensuring consistent standards are maintained across both properties. From time to time, you will also be required to travel to the Virginia Water residence to provide support during periods of increased activity, working alongside a fully staffed housekeeping team.

This role will require a candidate with previous experience working within private luxury residences for UHNW clients, who has developed a strong understanding of the standards required to ensure the smooth running of both a residence and family life. You will need a dynamic skillset, a flexible approach, and a highly service-oriented mindset.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Full housekeeping responsibilities across two high-end London residences


• Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management


• Care and maintenance of fine furniture, fabrics, and specialist finishes/materials


• Working collaboratively with another Housekeeper to ensure consistency


• Welcoming and attending to guests


• Setting and laying tables


• Food and drink service when required


• Occasional preparation of simple, fresh, healthy meals


• Providing support at the Virginia Water estate when required during busier periods

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be highly discreet, respectful of the family’s private space, and able to work in the background without supervision, consistently delivering impeccable standards and seamless service.

They will also:

• Have proven experience working in private luxury residences for UHNW clients


• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and pride in their work


• Have a proactive, flexible, and service-oriented approach


• Work confidently both independently and within a team


• Possess strong emotional intelligence, intuition, and situational awareness

Key Requirements

• Willingness to travel between London and Virginia Water as required, supporting the principals and the wider household team across both residences


• A high degree of emotional intelligence, intuition, and situational awareness, with the ability to seamlessly read and respond to the environment, anticipate needs, and instinctively understand when to engage and when to remain discreet, ensuring service is delivered seamlessly and with complete discretion

Start Date: ASAP (can be flexible for the right person within reason)

Salary: £55,000 gross per year (may be negotiable depending on experience)

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
