Live-in Housekeeper in Berkshire

Our returning client is looking for a live-in housekeeper for their family residence in Berkshire just less than one hour away from London main train station(s) or just over one hour away by car.

This a semi-formal fully staffed household, so a team player is key and paramount to the success of the role. The ideal candidate will be willing to offer flexibility in the role. A hard-working individual, possessing a calm and can-do approach to work.

Housekeeping duties (but not limited to);

• Maintaining order and cleanliness throughout the family home


• All required housekeeping


• Laundry, ironing, packing and unpacking fine clothing


• Wardrobe management/organising


• Dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping


• Cleaning of family bathroom(s)


• Restocking personal item(s)


• Tidying and organising


• Cleaning work surface(s)


• Cleaning cupboard(s)


• Cleaning the fridge


• Reporting any issue(s) found to the family PA


• Simple family cooking (desirable but not essential)

Requirements:

• Experience working in a similar role.


• Excellent communication skills


• Good English


• Current DBS in place (or willing to undergo process)


• Driver (bonus but not a must)

Working days: Working days will vary depending on the clients needs and whether they are in or out of residence. On average, it will be 5 working days (Monday - Friday) when the clients are out of residence and 7 days per week when the family are in residence. There will be some flexibility required at all times. (The family are in residence approximately 30 - 50% of the year and tend to stay for 10 -14 days per visit)

Working Hour(s): 08:00 - 16:00 

Accommodation:  Your own spacious room with en-suite shower/bathroom within main house. There is a living room and kitchen to be shared with the other housekeeper

Strat date: ASAP

Salary: £38,000 gross per year (based on experience and skill set)

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
