Live-in Bilingual Governess/Nanny in London & Hong Kong

The role

On behalf of our private client we are seeking an experienced, bilingual Governess/Nanny for a family based in Hong Kong to commence as soon as possible. The family has three children, all born and raised in the UK, the position will involve caring for 3-year-old twin boys, who are due to start nursery school In Hong Kong in August 2026. The family is seeking a highly capable, nurturing individual who can support both their daily care and early development in a structured and engaging way. The position will be based in London until July, after which the family will relocate to Hong Kong. The successful candidate must be willing and able to relocate accordingly. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide full daily care, including toileting, bathing, and all personal hygiene routines.


• Deliver early years education, including language development in both English and Mandarin, early maths, and other age-appropriate learning activities.


• Plan and organise the boys’ daily schedule, ensuring a variety of stimulating and engaging activities.


• Once nursery begins, manage all home-school communication, including updates, meetings, and parent-teacher interactions.

Essential Requirements:

• Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).


• Proven experience working with toddlers, ideally with twins or children of a similar age.


• Patient, well-organised, and able to create a structured yet nurturing environment.

Strongly Preferred:

• Prior experience as a kindergarten teacher in Hong Kong, as familiarity with local school systems and communication is highly valuable.


• Native or fluent French would be considered a distinct advantage.

Additional Requirement:

• Flexibility to occasionally provide overnight support, including sleeping with the twins when needed (for example, if their regular nanny is unavailable or the children require additional comfort).

Accommodation: Provided

Hours: 6 days a week

Salary: £400 per day (dependent on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
