Our private client based in St John’s Wood, London is seeking an exceptional Neonatal / Maternity Nurse to support the care of newborn twins. This is a specialist role requiring extensive experience with premature babies and twins, working within a private household environment.
Working Schedule: 6 days per week, 12/13-hour shifts (rotational cover with second maternity nurse for 24/7 care)
This position is strictly for a highly qualified professional who can deliver expert-level newborn care from day one, supporting both babies’ development and providing calm, confident reassurance to the parents. You will work alongside a second maternity nurse to ensure 24/7 cover and continuity of care.
Duties will include –
o Full neonatal care of premature twins, tailored to individual needs
o Monitoring feeding, sleep, weight gain and developmental progress
o Establishing structured routines for both babies
o Bottle feeding and/or supporting feeding plans as directed
o Maintaining accurate daily records and observations
o Providing calm, professional guidance and support to parents
o Ensuring a safe, nurturing and consistent environment
o Liaising with medical professionals where required
The ideal candidate will be –
A qualified Midwife or Registered Nurse with proven, extensive experience in both premature neonatal care and twins (this is essential and non-negotiable). You must be confident, highly experienced, and able to work independently while maintaining exceptional standards of care. A calm, reassuring presence and excellent communication skills are essential.
Salary: £400 per shift
Accommodation: Provided for non-London based candidates
Start date: ASAP for 2-3 months
