Live-in Nanny near San Francisco

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a warm, active, and nature-loving Live-in Nanny to join a wonderful family in the charming town of Mill Valley, just 20 minutes from San Francisco.

The family is seeking a long-term Nanny to support their two young children and growing family — a six-year-old son, a four-year-old daughter, and a new baby due this Fall. Their current Nanny of three years is leaving to return to school, and they are hoping to find another trusted person to become part of their household.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in an outdoor lifestyle and is looking for a long-term role within a welcoming family home. Their ideal candidate is an experienced live-in nanny with both school-age and newborn experience.

The baby arrives in October; mom will be home for the first four weeks, after which the nanny will take on an additional 13.5 overtime hours per week. When the baby joins daycare at five months, the nanny will return to the standard 40 hours per week.

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Duties include:

• Managing the children's daily routines and schedules


• Organizing and leading engaging, age-appropriate activities — with a focus on outdoor and nature-based play


• Supporting homework, reading, and educational development


• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children


• Driving the children to activities, appointments, and outings


• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and good manners


• Working collaboratively and professionally as part of the household team

The Nanny:

• Passionate about outdoor activities — hiking, biking, beach walks, and forest adventures Warm, nurturing, and energetic, with a genuine love of children


• Settled and mature; someone who will integrate naturally into the Mill Valley community


• Confident driver with a clean driving license


• Background in childcare or education highly desirable


• A team player — a second nanny covers 20 hours per week


• Must have the right to work in the United States

Package

Salary: Competitive $70,000 – $80,000  gross per year + private onsite apartment & utilities for 40 hours per week (representing a total compensation package valued at over $100,000)

Two weeks’ PTO paid sick leave, and all major holidays. All overtime will be paid at 1.5x.

Accommodation: private onsite apartment - bathroom, kitchen, and separate entry

Start date: Between June and August 2026
