Our UHNW private clients are seeking a live our Housekeeper / Laundress for their large shooting estate based near Andover in Wiltshire. The role will entail joining an established and well supported estate team to provide a seamless service for two key principals and various guests. The estate operates on a seasonal cycle, with a very busy shooting season from end September to the end January and a quieter period from February to September. Candidates must be reliable, flexible and able to maintain exceptionally high housekeeping and laundry standards across both peak and quieter periods.


Working schedule:
February – Mid September (reduced season): Monday – Friday, approximately 09:00 – 15:30


End September – End January (busy season): flexible hours with longer and varied days depending on estate activity and guest stays


 


The clients work on a yearly average hours system, further details will be shared at interview stage but flexibility in the peak season is paramount for the success of this role.


Duties will include –


o High-standard housekeeping across the main residence and guest areas
o Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
o Care of linens and fine fabrics
o Supporting the smooth running of the household during busy guest periods
o Maintaining presentation standards across all rooms and spaces
o Assisting with preparation of rooms for guests during shooting season
o General upkeep and organisation of household areas


Requirements:


o Previous housekeeping experience in private households or luxury hospitality preferred
o Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
o Specialist laundry care experience highly desirable (training can be provided)
o Calm, reliable and able to work well within a large estate team
o Flexible and comfortable working variable schedules during peak season


Start date:
ASAP / flexible depending on candidate


Salary: £50,000 gross per annum (plus private healthcare package and annual salary review)


 


Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
