On behalf of our private clients we are seeking an experienced and proactive Nanny to care for their 8-year-old daughter in a long-term, live-out role. The position is focused on providing excellent childcare and supporting her learning and development.
We are looking for someone kind, engaging, and organised, who genuinely enjoys working with children. The ideal nanny will be able to provide gentle guidance and encouragement, support with homework and daily routines, and create a fun, nurturing environment. The family hopes to find someone who is looking for a long-term position and can become a trusted and valued part of their daughter's life.
Responsibilities
• School drop-off, pick-up, and after-school care
• Supporting homework and educational development
• Organising activities, outings, and playdates
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
• Managing the child's laundry, wardrobe, bedroom, and play areas
• Assisting with school administration, uniforms, clubs, and holiday activity planning
• Encouraging independence, confidence, good manners, and positive behaviour
• General nursery duties and light child-related housekeeping only
• Occasional babysitting by mutual agreement
• Accompanying the family on selected holidays and trips. The family travels several times per year during school holidays, primarily within Europe
Candidate Profile
• Previous experience caring for children within a private household
• Warm, kind, and engaging personality
• Confident supporting homework and educational development
• Able to provide gentle guidance and structure without being overly strict
• Proactive, energetic, and highly organised
• Strong understanding of child development and emotional wellbeing
Hours:
Term Time: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 7:00pm
School Holidays: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 7:00pm
There is significant flexibility during school hours in term time, with school pick-up generally not required until approximately 3:30pm.
Salary: £62,000 – £70,000 gross per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
Start Date: ASAP
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
