Live-out Housekeeper / Nanny in Richmond

On behalf of our private clients, we are seeking an experienced, proactive, and flexible Housekeeper/Nanny to support a busy high-net-worth family based in Richmond. This is a long-term, live-out position combining full housekeeping responsibilities with after-school childcare for three girls (2,7 & 9 years old).

The role is heavily childcare-focused during the afternoons and evenings, with the children attending full-time school and nursery during the day. The family is looking for someone kind, nurturing, and emotionally intelligent, who can build strong relationships with the children while maintaining firm and consistent boundaries. They are seeking a candidate who genuinely enjoys working with children, is happy to take initiative, and can confidently manage the demands of a busy family household.

Responsibilities:

• Full housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing, tidying, and household organisation
• Maintaining high standards throughout a four-bedroom, three-bathroom family home
• School and nursery pick-ups
• Transporting the children to activities, appointments, and clubs
• Providing after-school care and supervision
• Encouraging learning, communication, and development through daily interactions
• Preparing simple family meals when required
• Running household errands and managing day-to-day household needs
• Keeping outdoor areas and the garden neat and presentable
• Occasional babysitting and overnight care by prior agreement
• Accompanying the family on selected work-related trips and holidays

Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience working as a Nanny/Housekeeper within a private household
• Strong childcare experience
• Kind, patient, nurturing, and naturally engaging with children
• Able to provide gentle but firm boundaries and guidance
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Proactive, flexible, and able to use initiative
• Comfortable managing a busy household independently
• Positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed
• Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills
• Full clean driving licence essential
• Ideally located within 30 minutes of Richmond

Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30am – 7:30pm

Flexibility is required for occasional earlier starts or later finishes. The family values a collaborative and flexible approach and offers flexibility in return.

Additional hours include:

• Two weekday babysitting evenings per week
• One weekend evening per month
• Babysitting generally until approximately 11:00pm, with overnight accommodation available if preferred

Travel:

The successful candidate will be required to travel with the family:

• Up to two trips per year to New York, lasting up to two weeks at a time
• One annual company retreat, typically within the UK

Benefits:

• 20 days annual leave plus full month off in August in addition to annual leave entitlement)

Salary: £60,000 gross per annum, plus 10% annual bonus

Start Date: Flexible, with a start date available anytime between June and September.
