We are seeking an experienced professional Butler to join a distinguished private household from 18th July 2026 to 26th July 2026 providing exceptional five-star service to the principal and their immediate family. The household consists of fewer than 10 family members and has no pets. This is a fully staffed residence, working alongside an Estate Manager/House Manager, Private Chef, Housekeeper, and Driver/PA to ensure the highest standards of service, discretion, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering impeccable butler services while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the household and maintaining an outstanding level of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver impeccable butler service throughout the day.
- Welcome and attend to the principal, family members, and VIP guests.
- Open the door and greet visitors with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
- Provide refined food and beverage service, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, refreshments, and snacks as requested.
- Maintain impeccable presentation of the dining areas, pantry, and service areas.
- Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and beverages to the highest hospitality standards.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the Estate Manager / House Manager, chef, housekeeper, and Driver/PA to ensure smooth household operations.
- Anticipate the needs of the principal and guests, always ensuring a discreet and attentive service.
- Assist with receiving guests, coats, luggage, and ensuring a luxury arrival and departure experience.
- Ensure the principal is attended to when leaving and returning to the residence.
- Maintain five-star hospitality standards throughout the day.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Butler within a UHNW private residence or luxury hospitality environment.
- Excellent silver service and formal dining experience.
- Professional, discreet, and highly polished presentation.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to anticipate needs and provide seamless, proactive service.
- Flexible, calm, and able to work within a fully staffed household.
Hours: 8:00am – 9:00pm
The working schedule may be amended depending on the Principal’s and family’s requirements. The Butler is expected to be flexible with working days and hours to accommodate the household’s operational needs, VIP guest requirements, Any changes to the schedule will be communicated in advance were reasonably possible.
Salary: £300 per day
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
