- We are looking for a Live-in/out Senior Housekeeper, who will be required to ensure the safe keeping and smooth running of a private family's residence in Knightsbridge.
The Senior Housekeeper will be as part of a team of 4, working under the property manager with 2 other Housekeepers.
The family doesn’t reside in the UK full time – in residence 9 months of the year. When they are visiting the Senior Housekeeper is required to provide flexibility with working hours.
When they are in residence the house runs with a morning and evening shift shared between the Housekeepers and Temporary staff (if required).
Duties – when the family is not in residence:
Collaborate with the property manager to ensure the property is kept in top condition, clean, safe, and secure always - monitoring housekeepers to keep the property in the highest level of order,report any/all maintenance issue relating to the property
Demonstrate strong communication skills when liaising with the property manager, staff, VIP guests and residents.
Respond to family requests such as ordering taxis, running errands & organising drycleaning.
Cleaning of antiques, fine China, silverware, and other items in the household. This includes laundry, windows, floor treatments, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, care of upholstery, fabric, glass, leather, etc., and careful attention to the cleaning of antiques.
Service all areas regularly and cleaning schedule to include regular deep cleaning of bathrooms/kitchens and details such as preventing lime scale build up and running taps regularly to keep water pipes fresh etc.
Familiarise and become confident with fire systems/alarm systems and AV systems etc.
Manage expenses for cleaning supplies, nonperishables etc to a budget.
Organise housekeepers’ schedules and leave with the property manager.
Duties when the family are in residence:
Manage the team of housekeepers and temporary staff to deliver excellent service.
Ensure that all areas of the house are maintained including turn up & turn down as well as the clients personal staff areas.
Ensure Laundry is done to client’s preferences (e.g. separate client/staff laundry and use preferred products etc.
Liaise with the chefs/staff to ensure house is fully stocked during the visit.
Adhere to a dress code when the client is in residence and ensure that the staff you are responsible for are also adequately presentable.

IF Live-in accommodation:in central London will be provided
Salary: between £40K - £45K gross per year
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
