On behalf of our private client, a lovely family based in Cairo is seeking a warm, experienced and educationally focused live-in governess to support their three children aged 6,8 and 10 years old.
The role will primarily focus on the youngest child, aged 6, while also assisting the older children when needed. The schedule will consist of morning preparation and school routines, followed by after-school care and support, with a break during the day
The ideal governess will have a strong educational background and a genuine passion for child development, learning and creating a positive environment. The family is looking for someone who can confidently oversee all childcare duties, support the children’s routines and provide engaging educational and age-appropriate activities both before and after school.
Days of work: Monday – Friday (5 days per week) – with flexibility
Hours: Morning and afternoon routine with a break during the day
Responsibilities and duties:
- Assisting with homework, reading, and school projects
- Managing the children’s daily routines and ensuring a structured and positive environment
- Maintaining tidy and organised children’s areas, bedrooms, school items and play- room
- Liasing with parents regarding the children’s progress, routines and wellbeing
Accommodation: The governess can either have a room within the private household, or they can supply a private apartment nearby.
Salary: £48k - £54k a year
Start Date: ASAP
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
