Nanny/Housekeeper in Chelsea

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organised housekeeper to support a family based in Chelsea as they prepare to welcome their first child in mid-July.

This is a six-month fixed-term contract running from July to December 2026, making it an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking a substantial temporary role with a warm and welcoming family. There may be the possibility of an extension, subject to the family's future requirements.

This is primarily a housekeeping role with some childcare support responsibilities. The family are looking for someone who can become a trusted and invaluable support within their home during what will be a busy and exciting transition into parenthood.

The ideal housekeeper will be a highly competent, proactive, and intuitive individual who thrives in a family environment. With the arrival of their first baby, the family is seeking someone who can seamlessly manage the household, confidently use their initiative, and anticipate the family’s needs without requiring constant instruction. This person will become an invaluable support to the parents, ensuring the home runs efficiently, providing practical assistance where needed, and helping to create a calm and organised environment during this exciting new chapter.

Candidates should be confident around babies, enjoy supporting families, and take genuine satisfaction in making life easier for those around them. They are happy to offer either live-in with a room in their home with a private ensuite or live-out.

Hours: 7am start (8 to 10 hours a day) – Flexibility is needed, exact hours have not yet been decided.

Duties Include:

• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the home to a high standard.


• Daily housekeeping, including cleaning, tidying, dusting, and organising.


• Laundry and ironing, including wardrobe management and clothing care.


• Changing and laundering bed linen and towels.


• Grocery shopping and household provisioning.


• Managing household supplies and ensuring essential items are always stocked.


• Receiving and organising deliveries and parcels.


• Preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the family.


• Keeping the kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms clean and well maintained.


• Providing support to the parents with their new-born baby.


• Assisting with nappy changing.


• Holding and comforting, and settling the baby


• Supervising the baby when parents require rest or need to attend to other responsibilities.


• Assisting with baby related housekeeping duties.


• Acting as an extra pair of hands for busy first-time parents.

Package

Salary: £75K - £100K pro rata, depending on experience. 

Start Date: As soon as possible, Baby is due mid-July.

Unless otherwise specified, a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
