Our private clients are seeking an experienced Part-Time Housekeeper to join their household on a private estate in East Sussex. Working alongside a Head Housekeeper and House Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented candidate to become part of a small, welcoming household team.
The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the property to exceptional standards whilst supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home. The principal also has dogs, therefore candidates should be comfortable working in a pet-friendly household.
Working days & hours:
Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 1:30pm (20 hours per week)
Duties will include –
o Full housekeeping and cleaning to an exceptional standard
o Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate garments and household linens
o Changing bed linen and maintaining beautifully presented bedrooms
o Dusting, polishing, vacuuming and caring for specialist surfaces and furnishings
o Organising wardrobes and linen cupboards
o Ensuring detailed areas such as skirting boards, bookshelves and decorative items are maintained to a high standard
o Reporting maintenance issues to the Head Housekeeper
o Supporting the wider household team with additional duties as required
The ideal candidate will be –
An experienced Housekeeper with previous private household or similar experience. Candidates should be organised, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team. They will possess exceptional attention to detail, take genuine pride in their work and always maintain the highest levels of discretion and professionalism. A positive, flexible and can-do attitude is essential, as is being comfortable working around dogs. Basic sewing or clothing repair skills would be advantageous but are not essential.

£18–£22 gross per hour DOE (exceptional candidates above this range may also be considered) + Private Healthcare
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
