On behalf of our private client, we are seeking an Live-In Nanny with native-level fluency in English for a family based in Milan with two young children aged 2 and 3. Both children attend a British school, and the family are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about child development and early education.
A housekeeper/cook is already in place, so the candidate must be a strong team player. The family are happy to consider candidates with a formal childcare qualification, as well as those who have a genuine love for working with young children and supporting their development.
A driving licence would be a significant advantage.
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 8:30am and then 12:30pm – 8:30pm
- Break from 8:30am to 12:30pm when the nanny is not required
Duties include:
- School drop-off in the morning and pick-up for the youngest at 12:30pm
- Collecting the eldest from school at 4:00pm
- Planning and leading engaging, age-appropriate afternoon activities
- Supporting the children's learning and development in line with the British curriculum
- Organising the children's rooms, wardrobes and playroom
- Ensuring the children's safety and wellbeing at all times
- Accompanying the family on travel during school holidays
- Working alongside the existing housekeeper/cook
The successful candidate will:
- Have Native Level English language skills
- Hold an EU passport or have the right to work in Italy
- Have a genuine passion for child development and early years education
- Be organised, reliable and safety-conscious
- Be happy to travel with the family during school holidays
Accommodation: Separate self-contained flat provided on the same floor as the family home
Salary: €3,5k – 4k gross per month, negotiable for the right candidate
