Live-in Housekeeper in Oxfordshire

Our private clients are seeking an experienced Live-in Housekeeper to join the established team at their formal private residence in Henley on Thames. The household is home to a family of five and their pet dogs and operates with a fully staffed team including two rota Nannies, an Estate Manager, Driver, Chef and Gardeners.

This role will form part of a housekeeping team of three full-time Housekeepers plus a part-time Housekeeper, working together to maintain the property to an exceptional standard.

Schedule: Shift-based rota, 5 days per week, 10 hours per day (including 1 hour lunch break). Generally, two weekends off per month.

Duties will include –

• All hands-on housekeeping to the highest standards throughout the residence


• Laundry and ironing, including the care of delicate and high-end fabrics


• Maintaining immaculate presentation across all living spaces


• Care of fine furnishings, materials and surfaces


• Supporting the wider household team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations


• Any other duties related to the upkeep and smooth running of the property

The ideal candidate will have extensive previous experience working within HNW/UHNW private households, with a strong work ethic and keen eye for detail. They should be child and dog friendly, a positive team player, and take pride in maintaining exceptional standards within a formal home environment. Candidates must be drivers with their own car in order to remain independent within the rural location.

Accommodation: Live-in accommodation provided on the estate (a short drive from the main residence) in a fully furnished two-bedroom cottage.

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £45,000 gross per annum

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
