- Description
Our private clients are seeking an experienced Live-out Housekeeper / Cook to support their home arranged over 3 floors in Richmond. This is a newly created role to provide support to a busy family with young children who also host a close family member for 2–3 months each year, so candidates should be comfortable working within a slightly busier household during these periods.
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:30am - 6:30pm (24 hours per week)
Preferred working pattern is Monday, Wednesday and Friday, although the family are also happy to consider alternative schedules with non-consecutive working days (e.g. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday).
Duties will include –
- Full housekeeping and cleaning to a high standard
- Laundry and ironing
- Wardrobe Management - organise clothes into wardrobes after washing and ironing, ensuring items are neatly stored. Assist with seasonal wardrobe changes by rotating, arranging, and storing clothing as appropriate.
- Maintaining the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of the home
- Preparing fresh family meals for the household (predominantly Asian cuisine, alongside occasional Italian dishes and simple roasted meat and fish meals)
- Following the family's dietary preferences and requirements (nut intolerance, shellfish allergy and one family member who does not eat red meat.)
- Grocery shopping and kitchen organisation if required
The ideal candidate will be –
An experienced Housekeeper / Cook who has previous experience as a Housekeeper working within a private family home with confident cooking abilities, gained either in a professional kitchen or private household environment.
The successful candidate will be happy to take guidance from the principals during the initial settling-in period, whilst being confident enough to work independently once familiar with the household routines. They will be discreet, professional and respectful of the family's privacy, with excellent personal boundaries and a proactive approach to their work.
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £23 – £26 gross per hour (depending on experience)
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
