Live-out Housekeeper in central Rome

On behalf of our private client, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Housekeeper to join a team working within a prestigious private residence in central Rome. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in the care of antiques, crystal, silverware, specialist finishes and haute couture clothing. This is a hands-on role requiring exceptional attention to detail and the highest standards of care throughout. The family travel frequently, providing ample opportunity for holidays and lieu days.

Working hours:

• Standard 5-day week when the family are not in residence


• 6 days per week when the family are in residence

Duties include:

• Working as part of a household team to maintain the residence to an exceptional standard


• Hands-on cleaning throughout the property


• Specialist care of antiques, paintings, crystal and silverware


• Caring for specialist surface finishes using correct products and techniques


• Laundry, including bed linen and household fabrics


• Garment care, including hand washing of delicate and haute couture clothing


• Ironing to an impeccable standard


• Carrying out any additional duties as reasonably requested

The successful candidate will:

• Have proven experience caring for antiques, crystal, silver and specialist finishes


• Have experience handling and caring for haute couture and delicate fabrics


• Be meticulous, discreet and professional at all times


• Be confident working as part of a team in a fully staffed household


• Have strong references from previous private household roles

Salary: €20 per hour
