Live-in Domestic Couple in Dorset

On behalf of our private clients, we are seeking an experienced Live-in Domestic Couple to manage a prestigious country estate. This is the principals' secondary residence, primarily used during the autumn months for the shooting season. The estate is substantial, comprising two cottages and approximately 20 rooms in total. With dedicated gardening and farming staff already in place, the successful couple will focus primarily on the smooth running and upkeep of the main house.

The ideal candidates will be polished, highly experienced professionals with a keen eye for detail, the ability to work collaboratively with other staff, strong organisational skills, and a warm, child-friendly manner.

Days/Hours: Full-time with flexibility required during periods of residence and the shooting season.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Overseeing and coordinating temporary staff throughout the shooting season


• All housekeeping duties including turndown service, laundry, ironing, cleaning, and the care of specialist furniture and antiques


• Front-of-house service during shoots (approximately 20 shoots per year)


• No cooking required — the family employs chefs


• General property maintenance, handyman duties, contractor liaison, and driving

Accommodation: 2-bedroom semidetached property – away from the main house

Salary: from £70K negotiable, dependent on experience

Well-behaved pets may be considered.

Start date: As soon as possible, though the right couple is worth waiting for — a summer start will be considered.

A minimum of two years' relevant experience is required to be considered at the advertised salary.
