We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Domestic Couple to join a welcoming English family at their beautiful private estate in the heart of the Cotswolds. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a professional couple with previous experience working within a high-net-worth private household. The successful couple will take pride in maintaining exceptional standards throughout the home and estate. The family consists of two adults, four children (aged 11–13), and several much-loved dogs and cats. They are looking for an energetic, proactive couple who genuinely enjoy country living, have a love of animals, and are committed to delivering a first-class service. The successful couple will be responsible for the day-to-day management and upkeep of a substantial 10-bedroom family home.
Requirements
Previous experience working together for a high-net-worth or private family
High standards of housekeeping and household management
Confident family cook with experience preparing nutritious daily meals
Practical maintenance and DIY skills
Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach
Friendly, discreet and trustworthy
Animal lovers who are confident caring for dogs and cats
Full driving licences for both candidates are strongly preferred
Happy living and working in a rural location and embracing country life
Housekeeper/Cook Responsibilities
Full housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and ironing to an exceptional standard
Household organisation and presentation
Preparing fresh, family-style breakfasts and evening meals
Grocery shopping and household provisioning where required
Caring for the family's dogs and cats
House Manager/Handyperson Responsibilities
General property maintenance and troubleshooting
Supporting the estate gardener
Swimming pool maintenance
Vehicle cleaning, care and routine management
Basic plumbing, electrical and general maintenance duties
Driving for the family and household errands
Assisting with the smooth running of the wider estate
Hours: Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for occasional weekends when the family are in residence. Time off in lieu will be provided for weekend work.
The daily schedule typically includes assisting with breakfast, a break during the middle of the day, and returning to prepare and assist with the evening meal.
Accommodation: Self-contained two-bedroom cottage on the estate
Start Date: Mid-October
Salary: £75K–£90K (combined)
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
